Nike Release the VLONE Air Force 1 at New York Fashion Week

Throughout fashion week in the big apple, Nike was involved in multiple events and releases centering around what it means to be New York made, as well as the sport of basketball and its influence on streetwear and fashion in general. One of the more anticipated drops was VLONE’s Air Force 1 collaboration. Inspired by Harlem, a neighborhood in the Northern section of the New York City, Hometown of co-founder of VLONE, A$AP Bari and and many others in the collective.

NikeLab present this luxurious and updated version of the AF1. The shoe features hits of bright orange on the stitching, VLONE logos on the heel, Swoosh logo, midsole, outsole and tongue. Unlike the limited set of VLONE kicks released at last year’s ComplexCon, this 2017 version features embroidery on each shoe going across the entire heel.

The coveted low-tops pay homage to the past, present and future of Harlem’s legendary basketball culture and so were only available on February 11th at a special pop-up experience in Harlem. For those desperate to get a pair, be willing to pay a few thousand on resale.

Maybe, its defiantly an iconic collaboration. They were released last week at the Nikelab store in Shoreditch. It was very a exclusive release and most people queued for hours to get them.
